Lovense OBS setup

For a standalone OBS Studio workflow, Lovense documents separate components: Cam Extension, Lovense Connect, and OBS Toolset. OBS builds the audiovisual scene; the extension and Connect handle the documented device integration; Toolset adds Lovense video feedback. Set up the scene and integration separately so you can tell which part works before sending output to a destination.

Choose the standalone path before installing

Use this workflow when you intend to keep a separate OBS Studio installation and add Lovense video feedback to its scene. If you use Stream Master’s built-in OBS, follow the Stream Master guide instead. Combining instructions from both paths can leave you configuring the wrong instance.

  • Record your operating system and processor, OBS version, browser and extension version, Connect version, and Toolset version in a private setup note. Leave unknown versions marked unknown.
  • The official extension page currently describes Chrome/Edge, computer or mobile Connect methods, and installing OBS Studio before Toolset. Its computer pairing method requires a Lovense USB Bluetooth adapter; check the documented method for your device.
  • Obtain software through the official vendor pages and confirm the current installer matches your machine. OBS availability on an operating system does not establish Lovense Toolset support there. Stop and ask Lovense if the combination is unclear.

Build an OBS scene before adding the integration

Work with output stopped. Start with a dedicated setup scene so its sources are easy to inspect. OBS’s Sources dock adds scene elements; adding an element does not start a broadcast.

  • Add the camera through the supported video-capture source and select the intended device in its properties. Check the actual camera frame before adding overlays.
  • Check the Audio Mixer while speaking, then make a short local recording. Listen to it rather than relying only on moving meters. Correct missing audio or the wrong input before continuing.
  • Keep the test scene focused on the camera and necessary sources. Inspect the frame for private information. A desktop capture is unnecessary for this integration and can expose other windows.

Add Lovense video feedback to the same scene

After installing the supported Toolset, Lovense’s written guide describes the following scene connection. These are documented labels, not a promise that every release uses identical menus. If your installation differs, compare its current vendor instructions before changing unrelated settings.

  • With standalone OBS open, add the Lovense Video Feedback source alongside the camera source in the scene you are testing.
  • Place Lovense Video Feedback above the camera and other sources, as Lovense instructs. OBS draws sources higher in the list over those below them.
  • In Cam Extension settings, the documented Video Feedback tab contains Connect to Lovense OBS Toolset. Use that connection and inspect the OBS preview for the configured feedback.
  • Check placement and size in the scene. Temporarily hide and show the feedback source to distinguish an overlay problem from the camera underneath; preserve your working camera configuration.
  • Lovense: OBS Toolset installation guide

Reviewed 2 October 2026. Documents the feedback source and extension connection. Older OBS minimum and 32-bit references remain on the page; they do not prove compatibility with your installed releases.

Check four separate results before a destination test

Treat each check as a separate observation in your setup note. This reversible sequence is a suggested verification workflow, not a report of a completed Space Management test.

  • Scene: record locally with the overlay visible, then hidden. Compare camera, sound and layout. Restore the visibility you intend to use.
  • Bridge: confirm the device connection through the supported Connect workflow. An OBS overlay alone does not establish a working device connection.
  • Trigger: where your current integration provides a supported test, check feedback and device response separately. A simulated event does not establish actual paid-tip processing.
  • Destination: consult its current authenticated broadcast instructions and test options. Check its received preview and explicit live status; sending output may expose your scene. Stop output and confirm the destination session has ended.

If the integration differs, preserve the working scene

Note whether the problem is a missing feedback source, a hidden overlay, an extension connection, or device response. Change one layer at a time and repeat the matching check. Do not replace the scene or reset all applications merely because feedback is absent.

  • If the source is missing after installation, record the installed versions and ask Lovense whether that Toolset supports your OBS build. Avoid guessed plugin folders, ports, unofficial installers or undocumented downgrades.
  • If feedback is covered, inspect source order and visibility. If the preview looks correct but the device does not respond, keep scene layout intact and investigate the integration separately.
  • For support, send the component versions, the failed check and a redacted error description. Keep account details, stream keys, pairing codes and viewer information out of shared screenshots.
