Who owns a Stripchat account: three starting points

Stripchat describes a studio as a management account that can create model accounts, monitor their activity and have total control over them, and that is responsible for paying its models. A studio cannot stream itself. How your account began decides who owns it and how it can leave. This is what Stripchat’s help centre said on 13 October 2026.

The one-active-account rule

Stripchat does not let a model run an active independent account and a studio account at the same time, or accounts under two different studios. If you verify a new model account while another is active, the old one is rejected automatically once the new one is verified. In practice:

• Before anything new is registered, tell us about every Stripchat account you have had, including inactive ones
• If you want to keep your audience, attach your existing independent account rather than opening a new one under a studio
• Never open a fresh account to try out a studio arrangement: verifying it can cost you the account you already have

How attaching an account works

On Stripchat the model starts the link, not the studio. That protects you: nobody can attach your account without a confirmation from your email.

• In Settings and Privacy, open your studio connections and enter the studio’s username
• Confirm the request from the email Stripchat sends you
• The studio accepts the request in its Notifications Center; until then you can cancel it
• Once accepted, your earnings appear in the studio’s Earnings by Models view, and the studio becomes responsible for paying you

Stripchat’s Studio Rules as your checklist

Stripchat publishes rules that every studio must follow, and it says it may detach a model who reports a studio for abuse or coercion. The rules make a useful checklist for any agency you talk to, including us.

We agree the structure for each of your accounts in writing before setup. Where keeping the account long-term matters to you, we work with your own independent account. If a model account were created under our studio, Stripchat would treat it as the studio’s account, and we tell you that before registration so you can choose an account of your own instead.

Weekly payouts on Stripchat

Stripchat pays US$0.05 per token. Payouts are weekly, usually on Tuesdays, and Stripchat states that all payout methods are free of charge for models and studios.

• Paxum, Cosmo Payment and Yoursafe arrive instantly; crypto within a few hours; SEPA, ACH and local wires in 2 to 10 business days; Visa in 1 to 5
• International wire transfers go out every other Tuesday and take 2 to 10 business days
• Minimums: US$50 for Paxum, Yoursafe, Cosmo Payment, Bitcoin, Tether and local wires; US$100 for Ethereum, USD Coin, ACH, SEPA and Visa; US$500 for an international wire
• Changing your payment settings on a Monday or Tuesday cancels that week’s payout, and it moves to the following week
• Payments go only to the Account Holder, whose name must match; to have someone else receive them, Stripchat points to attaching the account to a studio
• Studio statistics run on UTC+0 while models see their device’s time zone, so a day’s total can differ between your view and ours; that is why we reconcile by payout week

Verification, couples and groups

Stripchat verifies every person on an account with a document photographed on both sides and a live selfie, and usually reviews documents within 24 hours.

• You may be asked for a close-up of your ID and a photo of you holding it beside a handwritten note with the date and your username
• A couple or group account has 2 to 6 approved people, each uploading their own documents
• The first approved person becomes the Account Holder: present in every broadcast, paid on an independent account, and impossible to change or remove
• Before each show you select who is on camera in Current Show Persons; Stripchat says skipping this can affect your placement or get the account blocked

Privacy and multistreaming on Stripchat

Stripchat lets you hide your profile from chosen countries, and from regions of most countries, in Settings and Privacy, and warns that this may reduce traffic to your room. It also says it supports models who work on other platforms at the same time.

Streaming setup for Stripchat

Stripchat’s OBS guide: start your broadcast, choose “Switch to External Broadcast Software”, then paste the RTMP URL and your token into OBS with Stripchat selected as the service. For 1280×720 it recommends 1,500 to 2,500 kbps and a 2-second keyframe interval. If the Lovense menu disappears while the toy still reacts to tips, Stripchat’s help points to the Broadcast Center being open on two devices; keep toy sharing switched on only on the device that is connected to the toy.

Your first 30 days on Stripchat

• Before registering: list every Stripchat account you have had and choose between your own account, attaching it, or a new studio-created account
• Verification: documents and selfie, with a review usually within 24 hours
• Payment settings: completed by the Account Holder, and not changed on a Monday or Tuesday
• First show: geo-blocks, prices and show activities set in My Details; OBS and toy tested
• First Tuesday payout: compare it with your token history for the same week
• Day 30: review your schedule and show types and choose one thing to test next

If you leave Space Management

After the first term of 3 to 6 months you can leave with 30 days’ notice and no exit penalty. On Stripchat, what happens to the account follows from how it started.

• Independent account that was never attached: nothing changes on Stripchat; remove any shared access and change your password
• Your independent account attached to a studio: it can be detached through Stripchat support while you control its email address, or by the studio
• Account created under a studio: under Stripchat’s rules it belongs to the studio, so you would continue on a new account. This is the trade-off to weigh before registration
• Final payout: the last weekly payout is settled on your final statement
